Port de Barfleur,

66 rue Saint Thomas Becket

50760 Barfleur

Available services : Tidal Anchorage Area

The picturesque village of Barfleur, one of the most beautiful in France, has lost none of its ancient charm, mainly due to the number of original granite and blue schist buildings, including the houses of Alexandre, Paul Signac, the 17th century house of Julie Postel and the Saint Catherine courtyard which is enclosed by a medieval house.

The Church of Saint Nicolas, with its sailors’ cemetery, was built on a rocky headland next to the port and quayside, and is truly symbolic of this magnificent maritime village. Constructed between the 17th and 19th centuries, the church is classified as a Historic Monument.

A 3 km walk along the coast, between the rock pools and creeks, will take you to gatteville Lighthouse, the second tallest in France.
