On the Nacre Coast, the marina in Ouistreham is a haven of tranquility, located on the edge of the Orne Bay Nature Reserve. Along the coast, towards the headland at Pointe du Siège, there is a bird sanctuary, with a Europe-wide reputation, where a huge variety of birds can be spotted.
The old tow path can be explored on foot or by bicycle and covers 15 kilometers between Ouistreham and Caen, passing by the famous Pegasus Bridge site at Bénouville.
Museums, monuments, bunkers and tanks, dedicated to the memory of the Second World War, can be seen all around Ouistreham.
